The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises the public that today, Sunday, June 14th 2026, an emergency road closure is currently in effect along a section of Highway 7 in St. Michael, from the junction of Chelsea Road and Bay Street to the junction at Bayville, to facilitate an urgent water connection. The closure is expected to remain in place until approximately 6:00 p.m.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the affected area where possible, use alternative routes, and comply with directions provided by traffic personnel on site.
The BWA apologizes for any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for their patience and cooperation.
