The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) advises residents and businesses in St. Michael, St. George, and St. Thomas that, due to adverse weather conditions, the survey period has been extended. Daily surveys, which began on November 3rd, will now continue until December 21, 2025, with enumerators maintaining their regular visits throughout this extended period. This activity forms part of the 3R-CReWS Project — Reduce, Reuse, Recycle for Climate-Resilient Wastewater Systems in Barbados.

The project is being executed by the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) in collaboration with the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) and is funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The CCCCC has contracted CH Business Consulting S.A., a firm based in Lisbon, Portugal, to conduct a Knowledge, Attitudes, and Perceptions (KAP) Study using locally hired enumerators. These enumerators will be clearly identifiable by their branded attire, photo identification, and a Letter of Authority.

The survey aims to gather information on how citizens in Barbados think about and use water—including their knowledge, attitudes, and everyday practices related to Water, Sanitation, Hygiene, and Nutrition. The findings will support improved communication, help identify challenges and guide the development of solutions to strengthen Barbados’ water security.

Please note that the BWA is only facilitating this independent study and is not conducting it directly, ensuring an objective and unbiased assessment. All responses will remain confidential, and participation is voluntary.

For questions, concerns, or to verify the identity of an enumerator, please contact:

The CCCCC, in collaboration with the BWA, would like to thank all residents and businesses for their cooperation as we work together to build a more water-secure and climate-resilient Barbados.
