The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises residents and businesses that one of its facilities in St. Michael remains offline today Thursday, October 16th 2025 as crews continue work to replace a pump at the facility.
As a result, customers in Airy Hill, Bournes Village, Dayrells Hill, Hothersal Turning, Jackmans, Lears, Lower Estate, Lower Estate Gardens, Mayfield, Parish Land, Rowans, The Glebe, Thorpes Cottage, Walkers, Cave Hill Crescent, Durants Village, Halls Village, Oxnards, Haynesville, Husbands Development, Husbands Gardens, Husbands Heights, Ricks Land, Thorpes, Wanstead, West Terrace, Tudor Bridge may continue to be affected by low pressure or water outages as a result.
Persons with a pipe-borne supply are reminded to store some water to assist while repairs are being conducted.
Water tankers will also be dispatched to assist residents as a temporary measure.
