The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) informs residents and businesses in parts of St. Michael, St. George and Christ Church that today, Friday, September 12th, that it is experiencing challenges at one of its pumping stations which has resulted in a reduction of water supply to some districts.

As a result, customers in the following surrounding areas may experience low water pressure or outages:

  • St. Michael: Mapp Hill, Mount Friendship, Lower Burney, St. Barnabas, Pinelands, Highgate Gardens, Flagstaff, Clapham, Wildey, Haggatt Hall, Howells Cross Road and the immediate surrounding areas.
  • St. George: Ellerton, The Mount, Carmichael, Carmichael Tenantry, Buttals and the immediate surrounding areas.
  • Christ Church: Fort George Heights, Kent, Elizabeth Park, Regency Park, Sheraton Park, Sargeant’s Village, Warners Park, Warners Terrace, Briar Hall, Graeme Hall, Rendezvous, Bartlett’s Tenantry, Club Morgan and the immediate surrounding areas.

Persons are advised to store an adequate supply of water to assist. The Authority’s water tankers will make every effort to service the affected areas as a temporary measure.
