The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is today, Saturday, August 9th, advising residents and businesses in parts of St. George and Christ Church that it has sustained a burst on a large-diameter main at Turnpike, St. George.
As a result, customers in The Mount, Ellerton, Carmichael, Buckley Close, Buttals Tenantry, Boarded Hall, Watts Village, Edey Village, Frere Pilgrim, St. David’s and surrounding areas may experience low water pressure or a water outage during this time.
Persons are advised to store some water to assist while repairs are being conducted.
Water tankers will also be dispatched to assist residents and businesses in the affected districts as a temporary measure.
