The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) informs residents and businesses in parts of St. George that it has sustained a burst on a large-diameter main at the Turnpike tonight Friday, August 8th.
The water on that main will be turned off during the early hours of the morning on Saturday, August 9th to reduce wastage.
As a result, customers in The Mount, Ellerton, Carmichael, Buckley Close, Buttals Tenantry and surrounding areas may experience low water pressure or outages.
Persons are advised to store an adequate supply of water to help themselves once the supply has been turned off.
The Authority’s water tankers will make every effort to assist residents in the affected areas as a temporary measure while the repair is underway during the day on Saturday.
