The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises that Ionics Freshwater Limited will conduct emergency work at the Desalination Plant on the Mighty Grynner Highway on Wednesday, September 10th, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

To compensate while the plant carries out these necessary improvements, the BWA will adjust its distribution network. However, customers in the following areas may experience low water pressure during this period:

St. James
Appleby, Derricks, Fitts Village, Holetown, Jamestown Park, Mount Standfast, Paynes Bay, Porters, Prospect, Sunset Crest, Trents, Sandy Lane, Lower Mount Standfast, Storehouse Gap, The Garden, Weston, Lower Crick Hill, Lower Carlton, Prior Park, Warrens Terrace, Warrens, Warrens Park South, Clermont, Clearview Heights, Husbands, Meadowvale Heights, Crystal Heights, Hoyte’s Village, Seaview, Halcyon Heights, Sunset Ridge, Lancaster, Orange Hill, Apes Hill, Greenwich and surrounding
districts.

St. Thomas
Arch Hall, Bibby’s Lane, Cane Garden, Jackson, Jackson Terrace, Edgehill, Melrose, Arthur Seat, Welches Heights, Redman’s Village, Bagatelle Park, Bagatelle Gardens and surrounding districts.

St. Peter
Gibbs, Mullins, Road View, Battaleys, Farm Road, Heywoods Park, Speightstown and surrounding districts.

As a precaution, customers in the affected areas are encouraged to store an adequate supply of water to assist during this period. The BWA’s water tankers will also be dispatched to assist customers.
