Repairs to Damaged Main in Bridgetown Completed
BARBADOS WATER AUTHORITY
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Barbados Water Authority wishes to advise this evening Tuesday, April 6th, that its crews have completed repair of a 4-inch main at the junction of Palmetto and Marhill Streets in Bridgetown.
The delay in completing this job resulted from the fact that the ruptured main is located below electrical conduit (as can be seen in the attached photos). This made it extremely difficult to access the main in order to conduct the repairs.
The areas affected by this burst included Rickett Street, Marhill Street and Palmetto Street. The repair was successfully completed around 8 o’clock tonight.
The BWA apologises for any inconvenience caused. (ENDS)
