Update #2 re Pumping Station in South Offline Due to Electrical Outage
The Barbados Water Authority wishes to advise that a stray bullet damaged a transformer at one of its pumping stations in the south. The Royal Barbados Police Force is currently conducting investigations into the matter.
BWA crews are on-site working with a team from the Barbados Light and Power to rectify the problem. Customers in Lower Burney, South District, Fort George and the surrounding areas may continue to experience water outages or low water pressure.
Water tankers have been dispatched to assist customers in these areas.
The BWA apologises for the inconvenience this outage is may cause.
