BARBADOS WATER AUTHORITY
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Barbados Water Authority wishes to inform residents in St. James that tonight Monday, November 23rd between 9:00 pm and 3:00 am tomorrow Tuesday, November 24th it will be making an emergency shutdown of the water supply to areas along Highway 1 from its junction with Holder’s Hill to Holetown.
The work forms part of the Highway 1 Project being undertaken by the Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources. The shutdown is to allow the BWA to connect temporary mains in the area of Cemetery Lane.
Residents in the named St. James districts are likely to experience low water pressure or outages while this emergency work is being conducted. They are asked to store an adequate supply of water to assist during the period.
The BWA apologizes for any inconvenience these service disruptions may cause. (ENDS)
