Electrical Work Scheduled for BWA Stations in the North
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) wishes to advise residents of some northern districts that its stations at Alleynedale and Haymans will be taken offline on Tuesday, May 12th and Wednesday, May 13th between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm each day to facilitate urgent electrical upgrades being conducted by the BWA in conjunction with the Barbados Light & Power Company Ltd. (BLPC).
Customers in the following areas may be affected by low pressure or water outages as a result.
In St. Lucy

Once the work is completed, the system may take some time to fully recover.
Residents are therefore advised to store an adequate supply of water to assist during this time when their pipe borne supply is expected to be affected. Water tankers will also service customers in the affected districts as a temporary measure.
The Barbados Water Authority apologizes to its valued customers for the inconvenience this necessary work on May 12th and 13th in the north of the island may cause. (ENDS)
