BWA Pumping Stations at Greens & Applewhaites Offline
BARBADOS WATER AUTHORITY
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is currently carrying out emergency repair work on pumps at its Greens and Applewhaites Pumping Stations. The stations have been taken offline in order for the work to be conducted.
Customers in the following districts may be affected by low pressure or outages as a result.
Woodland, Drax Hall, Drax Hall Tenantry, Rolling Hills, Greens, Drax Hall Hope, Upper Byde Mill, Farm Road, Harmony Cottage, Baird’s Village, Middleton, Perogative, Superlative and surrounding areas in St. George.
While repair crews are addressing the issues, water tankers have been mobilized to assist customers in the affected areas as a temporary measure.
The Authority is also today Monday, experiencing low reservoir levels at its Cave Hill, Shop Hill, Mount Stepney and Castle Grant facilities.
The Barbados Water Authority sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience these outages may cause its valued customers.
