BWA Updates its Customers about Water Outages
The BWA would like to thank it’s valued customers for their patience as it worked assiduously to restore the water supply to all affected areas.
The Authority advises persons fed from the Castle Grant Reservoir that water is flowing back into the affected districts as St. Joseph districts impacted earlier, now have water running through the taps again.
Areas fed from Ashton Hall and Lodge Hill Reservoirs which also experienced outages today, are at this time, also getting some relief as water gets back into the mains.
It is now only a matter of time before water gets back to the few remaining affected districts such as Mount Brevitor in St. Peter which is located at the highest elevation in that system.
BWA crews are still in the field at present ensuring that the necessary repairs are completed in all circumstances.
Residents of Newton Terrace who were affected by a burst main also have had their water supply restored after repair of the main was completed.
The Authority’s tankers will continue to assist any customers who remain without water as a temporary measure.
Again the Barbados Water Authority sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience these issues have caused its valued customers today Christmas Day.
Thanks to all the dedicated staff who worked and continue to work tirelessly to assist our customers.
