BWA Experiencing Low Water Levels In Its Distribution Network

The Barbados Water Authority wishes to inform residents and businesses in some St. James and St. Peter districts who are still experiencing low pressure or intermittent outages that is the Authority continues to experience technical difficulties at its Lazaretto Pumping Station which feeds into the Carlton Reservoir.
As a result, customers in parts of these two parishes may experience low pressure or water outages. The affected areas may include Mount Standfast, The Garden, Weston, Lower Carlton, Appleby Gardens, Clarkes’ Road, Fitts Village and Derricks in St. James and Gibbs in St Peter.
Water tankers have been dispatched to assist the affected areas.
The Authority is also in the process of carrying out repairs or investigating the following reported burst mains.
A 4-inch main at the Barbados Defence Force Headquarters at The Garrison, St. Michael (repairs in progress).
A suspected burst on a main at Lowlands, Christ Church.
